Tattoo Removal Treatments
Tattoo removal is one of the most requested aesthetic procedures, and advances in laser technology have made it safer and more effective than ever before. Our laser tattoo removal treatment works by delivering ultra-short, high-intensity pulses of laser energy into the skin, which are selectively absorbed by the tattoo ink particles. The rapid heating causes the ink to shatter into tiny fragments, which the body's immune system then gradually clears away through its natural processes. With each successive treatment, the tattoo fades further.
The number of sessions required varies considerably depending on several factors — including the size, age, location, and depth of the tattoo, the colours used, and your individual skin type and immune response. Professional tattoos, which are typically applied at a consistent depth with high-density ink, generally require more sessions than amateur tattoos. Dark colours such as black and dark blue respond most readily to treatment, whilst brighter colours — particularly greens, yellows, and light blues — can be more resistant and may require a greater number of sessions.
We will always provide you with an honest assessment of what is achievable for your specific tattoo before treatment begins, including a realistic estimate of the number of sessions likely to be required and the expected degree of clearance. Sessions are spaced a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks apart to allow the skin to heal fully and the body's clearance process to progress between treatments.
